We hopped on US 101 and headed for Monterey. Maybe we took a wrong turn, but we were
surprised to ride over the Golden Gate Bridge.
We really liked that the fog was rolling over the bridge, not so bad
that you couldn’t see but enough that it looked cool. Then we drove through downtown San Francisco. We’d both been to San Francisco before (me
with two work buddies) and had seen the street cars, the hilly streets, and
Fisherman Wharf so we didn’t have a burning desire to go again. But it was nice to get a little taste treat
by driving over the bridge and through the city. The chronicle of the adventures of a couple of baby boomers crisscrossing the USA with a camper in tow.
